Well based on that, it doesn’t sound like he’s suggesting that Beauty = Freedom.
I think the idea is that attractiveness is another factor in the puzzle.
If your Public Pretender is taking care of the evidence portion of the case, it certainly won’t hurt to keep yourself looking your best.
There may be research to indicate that if a jury is torn over the evidence itself that they may lean towards Not Guilty if they find the defendant attractive.
There also may NOT be evidence to indicate that!

If he really thinks being attractive is gonna get him off, he better be prepared for when his attractiveness only gets him the pleasure of being his cell mates bitch when he is sent to prison.

Of course looking good is a factor. It’s shameful, but true. His statement that a good-looking person is likely to fair better in court is just common sense, especially given what we know about how far looks go in business – in ways that have nothing to do with appearing professional.

It’s old news, but he’s already been convicted. He assumed a lot of things, being deluded by his own ego – including that his hustler ex-boyfriend would take the rap in order to save him. Oops! I don’t think he needs to worry about prison. My sense is that he’s going to get the death penalty. Given how venal, callous, violent and senseless the murder was, I wouldn’t blame the jury one bit if they choose death.
