Dude, I nearly creamed myself just hearing the GL movie was finally in production (or at least cast).
Haven’t seen much of Ryan Reynolds’s acting since Two Guys, a Girl, and a Pizza Place came out (reminder, need to rent Wolverine), but he’s got a great body for Hal Jordan. Hopefully the producers will incorporate a little tasteful but full-frontal nudity into the storyline.

Not to burst your bubble, Drew, but Hal Jordan IS one of the current Green Lanterns (and the current focus of the GL title). He’s also the most well-known (and my personal fave).
John Stewart (the black guy) was supposed to be featured in the Justice League movie, but it’s looking doubtful that will get made anytime soon.
Anyway, I do agree there is a shortage of minority superheroes well-known enough to reach the general public (unless you count aliens and Amazons as minorities).
