I can completely understand being turned off by the tattoos and everyone is entitled to his opinion, but I never really understood the added derogatory remarks. Common ones like “he’ll regret the way the tattoo looks when he’s old and his skin begins to sag” or “another stupid kid jumping on the tattoo band-wagon.” It’s as if people are trying to make sure the tattooed kid knows he screwed up his body and want to make sure he feels like crap for doing it. This seems like being mean-spirited to me, but then again I’m not very smart, so it’s probably just beyond my comprehending.

I wouldn’t want him to feel bad about his tatts. Its said i feel to educate others – that this is a permanent thing and to really think about it before you do this to your body. I do think that tatts are pretty gross. I cringe when i see them on a beautiful body on the one such as the guy above. Tattoos are a fashion – and fashions change. I am 47 with a nice natural body, I thank my God for it and also thank my father who often told me that tattoos looked terrible. My body is clear of them and I am so grateful to my lovely old wise dad today for his opinion and guidance.

Enough tattoo hate. They are a personal choice and a form of individual expression. It doesn’t matter to me what others think about someone elses tattoos. Stop wasting bandwidth complaining about them.
Like any other type of art, tattoos can enhance or detract from your appreciation of someone. But your appreciation is not generalizable.

Wow there is a lot of tattoo hate going on here. Tattoos are generally a personal thing and in many cases a cultural/spiritual thing. Most people who have more than one tattoo realize the permanency of them and select each one with careful consideration. Maybe before you judge someone based simply on the fact that he has tattoos you should get to know his personal meaning and history with that particular piece. You might be surprised as to the reason behind it.
