Today’s featured photographer isn’t just someone who takes pretty pictures of models. When I first saw Julian Vankim‘s work, there were a few images that nearly took my breath away. He can definitely pull off the simple studio shot, but his real talent lies in capturing beauty in a much more unconventional fashion.
In my favorite shot from his portfolio, a young woman with rainbow skin is literally unzipping her face to reveal her natural skin tone. While it’s obviously just make-up and light editing, the immediate effect is quite striking and almost a tad disturbing. Now that I’ve shared, I’m curious to know–which one of these is your favorite shot?
