Weekly Top Ten Wild Card: Battle of The Blondes

On this Saturday’s edition of the Weekly Top Ten, one of you suggested a “Battle of The Blondes” between Pixie Lott, Kaci Battaglia, Sugarland and The Band Perry. As much as we love when you do our job for us, we had to make one tiny alteration.

Since Jennifer Nettles and Kristian Bush already had their chance back in August, we’ve opted to replace them with the next logical choice for a musical duo–Nicki Minaj and will.i.am. They’ll be going up against some fierce competition, so we can’t wait to see the results! Who will you be voting for?

Pixie Lott – Broken Arrow: I’ve never been able to get into Pixie Lott. Her songs aren’t bad or anything, but she’s lacking a certain “oomph” in the performance department. Nevertheless, my opinion doesn’t really count, so you’re free to make your own conclusions on this matter. What do you think? Is this ballad doing it for you?

Kaci Battaglia f/ Ludacris – Body Shots: Yesterday, I witnessed four drunk girls meeting up in a train station. Upon seeing her friend’s outfit, one of the girls immediately blurted out, “Oh-mah-gawd, you look so-oooo hot.” She kept repeating this for five minutes, while her friend continued to thank her and return the compliment. Honestly, this is what I imagine Kaci Battaglia’s life is like. All the time.

Nicki Minaj f/ will.i.am – Check It Out: Okay, we know it’s a stretch to designate Nicki Minaj as a “blonde”, but anything is possible with the power of a good wig. And let’s be honest with one another! Half of her competition is definitely dabbling in the hair dye. As far as this song goes? It’s absolutely terrible. Except it’s terrible in the “I will be dancing to this when I get drunk” kind of way.

The Band Perry – If I Die Young: Ugh, I’m such a sucker for shit like this. Whoever suggested this song is going to be in a lot of trouble, because the cleaning staff is going to have a hell of a time cleaning my tear stains off of this desk. Well, not really, but still… you guys! This is totally beautiful. And I kind of want to have a threesome with the two brothers in this band. Wait, did I just ruin the moment?
