Traditionally, hip-hop hasn’t been the most gay-friendly genre of music. It’s cool that big-name artists like Kanye West and Nicki Minaj have come out against homophobia in the industry, but it’s not like the usual suspects (we see you, Mr. Mathers) are going to drop “faggot” from their lyric sheets. Here’s a remedy to all that bullshit. Rainbow Noise Entertainment has released “Imma Homo,” an unabashedly gay (and seriously aggressive) shout-out to “reppin’ for my faggot family.” Reclaim those words, kids, and make your elders proud.
Note: This song features some VERY harsh language and describes some NSFW situations. So, if you are sensitive to that, you might want to give it a pass and perhaps listen to some Young MC.
