Must(?) Watch: Emile Hirsch’s Video..What The What?

Speed Racer and Into The Wild actor Emile Hirsch has branched out into directing. Here’s his clip for Daft Punk‘s “Alive.” I haven’t one clue about what’s going on with this, but we’re throwing it up cuz’ one of the guy’s is kinda hot and takes his shirt off.  Other than that, it’s pretty much bored actor tries directing bullshit and tries to be “edgy.” Wow, Sundays are blunt up in here at Manhunt!

    very unclear as to why someone would want to be billed as having directed this — as homemade, college-kid randomness it’s okay – but calling it professional… knowing it had a budget… hirsch probably called for re-shoots and told the “actors” about their characters’ motivations…. ugh

    well that’s 5 minutes of my life that i’ll never get back. What an absolute piece of shit-show crap! Obviously just because some young kid is good in front of the camera (to be honest I have no idea if Hirsch even is or not), it doesn’t neccessarily translate into any possibility they know what’s any good behind the camera, lol . . .

    I actually think Emile has a little hot quality to him. He was pretty good looking in Alpha Dog tho I watched it because it was a decent movie, I had a good buzz going and I knew that Justin Timberlake was shirtless a lot. There is an old indie movie with Emile as a teenager who was a mamas boy who recently died and he and his dad do not communicate well. He is a closet case and there is a scene in the movie where he puts on a wedding dress and he sucks off and gets fucked by another guy in the barn. Kinda hot actually it’s called THE MUDGE BOY and def has some homoerotic tendencies goin on. Check it out on cable if you get a chance.

    The directing is kind of painful, but it’s certainly not as “OMG WTF IS DIS BULSHAT?” as you guys are making it out to be. As for the “WHAT IS THIS EVEN ABOUT?” comments: Skinny Hipster Dude want to be muscly cool dude, sees Muscly Cool Dude everywhere, does what Muscly Cool Dude does, and then they have some kind of awkward dance-off confrontation involving pelvic thrusts and voguing. You guys did watch it, right?

    Heck, if you wanted to, you could say that the Muscly Cool Dude is actually a manifestation of Skinny Hipster Dude’s inner desires; a construction self-designed to both lure and taunt Skinny Hipster Dude through his transformation. The final scene is a “confrontation” with the self and appears to end in an awkward truce.

    Also, I don’t think Daft Punk’s song helps this at all. Alive made me feel anything but.
