I don’t get the ad.  What’s with a tight close up of some dude’s crotch.  Is this supposed to sell underwear?  Where’s the legs?  Torso?  This is definitely not an image intended to appeal to women and I expect that most would not find it so.  So I can only assume its a campaign intended to appeal to men, who as a group are really the only ones that favor tight close ups.

As it is, I find the photograph to be very unflattering.  It makes his ass  look fat, his torso ambiguous, and his legs small.  The purpose to showing pictures of fashion is to inspire the “I want to look as hot as that guy” reaction … except in this case we don’t see the guy.  Is this supposed to make us think instead that if we wear these shorts, we’ll somehow get a bigger package?

the underwear is too plain and boring.. i rather get another brand that has more style.. not buying just because of the name.. he is hot.. but thats it.

Yeah he is a goodlooking man, but looks much better in pics and media ads than in person, all those computer tricks make people look awesome, and yes it’s another ruse to use a celebrity name to sell something, but it is tried and true and it works because we as a whole are way too gullible
