In a perfect world, there would be no lies in the world of online dating and hook-ups. People would be honest about their penis size and relationship status. They wouldn’t say that they’re looking for something, when they’re really on the hunt for something else… And most importantly? They’d use recent pictures of themselves in their Manhunt profiles.

Note the emphasis on “themselves”.

As we’ve all learned by now, the world isn’t exactly perfect! There will always be fakers who slip past the Manhunt Serviceman and wind up on your computer screen, and luckily, there are a few small steps you can take to avoid being duped by their shady antics.

Another great PSA. I just hate when guys ask you for picture after picture before you’ve even had a chance to really talk to them. Nothing is a quicker turn-off for me than someone who begs for more photos after you’ve already unlocked private photos.

(I’ve found those tend to be pic collectors.)

Best tip: Assume all online profiles and content therein is fake, including pictures. If the pictures are real, assume they are older than a year until they prove otherwise (ie web cam chat, face-to-face meet, etc).

I had a similar experience on facebook, i stumbled upon a smoking hot guy from overseas, who when asked for a recent pic of him he would just ignore that request like i hadn’t asked it and then i found on a seperate page that my friend from overseas had stolen this pic from online as i found this pic that was his profile pic on a page (not his) on facebook and when i confronted him about it he ran for the hills. so it does happen

Simply insist on using Skype…Skype is encyprtied and you can see the person live and hear the tone of his voice. If he says no to Skype or other live connection I say no thanks,

btw, if you are seeking fuckbuddies, why don’t you just accept people lie and even the hot ones, will lie too. So, don’t think you winning a hot date either way. Some people are deceptive and are going to conceal their most unattractive aspects…like, i’m a drug addict, i have STD’s, I’m married(to a woman), I’m married(to a man), I’m unemployed, or I have emotional problems. There aren’t warning labels on profiles or people for that matter…boy I wish there were!

Porn stars are quasi-celebrities, and many of them come from/reside in off-the-beaten-path smaller towns, so it really becomes difficult to weed out the “real” ones from the “fakers” when they log onto hook-up websites… so naturally, yellow/red flags go up. For that reason alone, I find it kind of strange that Colby would actually resist camming (if even just briefly) to confirm his identity. just sayin’.

Now that is a useful segment for sure. Nice job and I totally agree with him “Do not give in to or reward fakers.” One of the best ways to spot the obvious fakers here on Manhunt is if none of their pictures show a face and they are giving you an email to contact so that they can mail them to you. Those are email gatherers and nothing more. (FLAG THOSE FUCKERS!) Put at least one picture of yourself in the locked ones and share the goods there for heavens sake.

Had friends contact me that someone was using ALL…I mean ALL…my pics from Facebook on his profile. My friend wrote him and told him he was DEFINITELY not me….he kept the profile going, so a quick report to the FB police ended that…have since seen several other profiles using friend’s photos….they must have a lot to hide!
