Phoenix: “Entertainment”

Fresh off their two biggest radio hits ever, Phoenix are back to rock your world with their new single “Entertainment”. Now, much as it’s great to hear new material from the French band, I will wholeheartedly admit that this track didn’t hit me as hard as ”1901” and “Lisztomania” did four years ago. Nor did it blow my mind the way “Everything Is Everything” did nine years ago.

I was starting to feel guilty about my ambivalence until I noticed that one of my favorite music blogs shared these feelings. Phew! It’s always a relief to know that you’re not alone. I’ll be keeping my fingers crossed that the follow-up hits my sweet spot.
