Wait, a cool love story between two dudes? Well-written, well-acted, with very cute leads? And a distinct lack of gay stereotypes? Reflecting how actual gay guys live? Holy shit! I’m writing in fragments because I can barely wrap my head around the existence of Weekend. I’m stunned. Newcomers Tom Cullen and Chris New play two Brits who meet at the club, fuck, and explore a possible relationship together. Yeah, it’s British – everything good is British. The US would fuck this up by having these two providing Jonah Hill with targets for gay jokes.

To watch the trailer for Weekend, Follow the JUMP:
I saw this at the Nashville Film Festival where it won the award for Best Narrative Film. So good!
The trailer looks really good. Had tears in my eyes after watching it. It looks like it taps into a lot of the feelings that gay men experience… and sometimes never allow themselves to actually consider or talk about. Can’t wait to see it.
sweet!
Makes me want to kiss Travis…..
I’ve never heard of this movie, but the trailer was interesting. I have to find out, if the movie is playing in Washington, DC. As a gay black/Latino man over 40, I would love to meet and fall in love with a guy, but being hurt in the past by men, I have built a brick wall around my heart to protect my feelings. I am come to terms, at my age, I will be alone for the rest of my life, due to so many men wanting to be players, not looking for a relationship.
This looks beautiful, simply.
from what i can gather of this great film…well i have lived this, as perhaps we all have…very honest and sad…
This movie looks fantastic, and the guys look like normal men,not all the muscle guys that most movies have. And as for Kenneths comment, keep your mind open, never give up. I was married for 12 yrs, divorced and 3 kids later that i have raised on my own, im still single, have had a number of very short relationships, but am still hopeful that someday i will find that man to believe in. I will never give up hope.
I HAVE A QUESTION … IS EITHER OF THE ACTORS REALLY GAY IN REAL LIFE … JUST WONDERING
Saw this movie at Seattle International Film Festival and LOVED IT!!! It’s like a gay equivalent (not a rip-off) of “Before Sunrise” which I also love. I have a few minor complaints but they are far outweighed by the many great things. It’s a must-see for gay audience, and hopefully a lot of straight audience will appreciate it as well. I have complained about the state of gay cinema for years, and to see a gem like this is so rewarding. In the post-screening Q&A, director Andrew Haigh talked about the long casting process and how they were almost desperate before finding these two. I do believe they are both gay in real life. Spread the words! You can also find it on Facebook under “/weekendthefilm”.
I believe this summarize my feelings perfectly
