This week, I’m making a sincere effort to only write about music I’d listen to on my own time. That’s why, instead of hearing a Cheyenne Jackson song that bores me to tears, you’re getting another dose of up-and-coming female rapper Azealia Banks! (But you can still hear Cheyenne here.)
Now, we don’t mean to brag or anything, but we were riding the B-A-N-K-S wave before the gay or hip-hop communities started bumping her cunt-tastic hit “212”. It should go without saying that we’re incredibly excited for the May 29 digital release of her debut EP 1991, which will precede the fall 2012 release of her new album Broke With Expensive Taste.
Nudged between both of those releases, however, will be a summer mixtape entitled Fantastic, and Banks recently liberated the first delicious morsel from this release,”Jumanji”. While it lacks a catchy hook akin to “212” or “Liquorice”, it more than makes up for that with its fresh rhymes and unique production. Get into it!

didnt enjoy it nearly as much as 212. its just not very catchy.
How sad your remark on Cheyenne Jackson as he has more talent in his fingernail than almost of us and for sure YOU. He is a very good singer, good actor and a credible stage presence. The need to make “bitchy”, degrading remarks is endemic of bullying.
I’m not denying that Cheyenne Jackson is incredibly talented. I’m just stating an honest opinion that his debut single bores me to tears.
It’s not the type of music that appeals to me, though I appreciate his vocal talents and the fact that it will surely appeal to other people.
Right now, though, I’m just taking ONE WEEK to not write these music posts for “other people”. You can call that selfish, but it’s just what I need to do right now.
