I'm prepared to laugh when I see Bruno, but should I prepare to be downright offended? Apparently, representatives from the HRC and GLAAD have spoken with the New York Times and expressed some problems they have with the film. The piece will allegedly be published this Sunday, so you'll have to read it and decide where you stand.
I understand what the organizations are getting at here, yet I still think I'll be laughing when this movie comes out. I think anyone going to see a Sacha Baron Cohen movie realizes that the stereotypes are going to be pushed to a ridiculously over-the-top level, so should we really take any offense?

it will certainly influence the minds of those who already have a negative view of gays.
lots of people still think that Kazakhstan is a shithole like it was portrait in Borat.
and many people still have negative views of Bratislava (if anyone remembers Eurotrip)
so ye, i think i would feel uncomfortable to come out to my friends straight after the movie 🙂
