If you have (at least) half a brain cell in your head, you’ve realized by now that this post’s merely an excuse to share a shirtless picture of Usher. The R&B-pop star’s latest effort Looking 4 Myself was arguably hit or miss, ranging from outstanding compositions like “Climax” to the 3:47 wet vagina metaphor “Dive”.
Then, of course, there were the genero-bangers.
These songs followed in the footsteps of “More”, “DJ Got Us Fallin’ In Love” and “Dirty Dancer”. They’re sprinkled generously throughout the album, including “Scream”, “Euphoria”, “Numb” and the utterly heinous, Billy Joel-sampling “Can’t Stop Won’t Stop”. (I’m giving “Show Me” exemption, because that song’s dorky enough to be charming.)
It was a given that these tunes were destined, if not specifically recorded, to become singles… And here’s Usher proving us right, by strutting out “Numb” as the latest release from the project. If you like dancing your pain away (in a way that’s not as fun as Robyn), you might love this song so much that you’d marry it and stick it up your butt! Maybe.
