The official version of Kendrick Lamar‘s “Bitch, Don’t Kill My Vibe” does not feature guest vocals by Lady Gaga. Though the two artists recorded collaborations for the rapper’s good kid, m.A.A.d city album—allegedly cutting a track called “Partynauseous” at some point—none of these offerings made it onto the final product.
This might be for the best.
With absolutely no disrespect to Gaga, the now-liberated demo of “Bitch, Don’t Kill My Vibe” would have sounded out of place on Kendrick’s album. In a way, I almost mean that as a compliment? Gaga’s such a huge presence that the track becomes less about Kendrick, more about her… And on a project that’s so intensely personal, laid-back and carefully crafted, that just wouldn’t have worked.
What do you think? Should Kendrick have kept Gaga on the track, just to get more mainstream attention? Or did he make the right decision? You might want to listen to the official version before answering (or the whole album, for that matter).

Kendrick made the right decision. As great as the track is with both of them on it, it would’ve been out of place on his album. I do hope more of their collabs come to light though. They work well together.
Yeah! Based on the title alone, I’m particularly curious about this “Partynauseous” song.
