Let’s Talk About Those 2013 Grammy Nominations…

It’s award season, you guys! This is the time of year when I pretend that I don’t care, yet impulsively read pieces about whether Naomi Watts will or won’t get a nomination for Best Actress. It’s also the time of the year when I complain about the Grammy nominations and pray to my copy of Minnie Riperton‘s Perfect Angel that half of these artists don’t get recognized for their “accomplishments” in music.

But I’ll spare you my complaints this morning! In fact, I won’t even go on a rant about how it’s bullshit for Chris Brown to be nominated in the same category as Miguel and Frank Ocean! I will, however, express my excitement that Frank creeped into this year’s rock-filled “Album of the Year” category, because he will probably win just for liking dudes. I’m okay with that.
