Laura Welsh‘s “Unravel” is a must-listen for fans of Jessie Ware. The minimal, emotionally-heavy track was produced by Dev Hynes (otherwise known as the brilliant nu-R&B mastermind behind Sky Ferreira‘s “Everything Is Embarrassing” and Solange Knowles‘ “Losing You“). It’s also quite, quite good! So much so that it requires a double “quite”.
Lest you think Hynes is the only person responsible for this magic, we encourage you to take a listen to Welsh’s other offering “Hollow Drum“. It sounds like a Florence + The Machine song that doesn’t really go anywhere, and believe it or not, we actually mean that as a compliment…
