Trust us. We're about as tired of the Perez Hilton vs. Carrie Prejean feud as you are. But rest assured… this post is entirely Hilton-free.
Equality California (EQCA) has responded to Miss California's "no offense" comments by inviting her to meet with their executive director, LGBT students and a family headed by a same-sex couple. I appreciate their sincerity and peaceful endeavor to show her that our equality matters. Let's hope she takes them up on the invitation!

Okay, I hate to call a dumbass a dumbass – well, actually, I live to do so – but mentioning Perez Hilton (affectionately known as the douchecunt) twice in the first paragraph does not, in fact, make your post Hilton-free.
Cut the first paragraph and make the world a happier place.
Well, Mr. Kors can preach all he wants about gay equality by pandering his agenda, but Ms. Prejean made it clear that it is her religious beliefs that have set her stance on gay marriage.
In the future, perhaps pageant officials should start screening their contestants so the judges will be certain to hear the answers they want.
Sidebar: Had no idea until this controversy that gays were so into the whole pageant scene. I guess where there’s make-up and big poofy hair, there’s gonna be a guy sitting in the audience with big dreams of donning a sash and tiara…lol.
Just because it came about because of here religious beliefs, that doesn’t mean her mind can’t be changed. Plenty of Christians have chosen to embrace principles of love and tolerance, even when their denomination preaches against it.
And isn’t her sister, likely of the same religious background growing up, a gay marriage activist?
