Despite the fact that he throws around the word "fag" like nobody's business, I know plenty of gay men who are very into Eminem. So when I saw his new video for "We Made You" this morning, I considered sharing it with you all until I watched it.
Though some are saying that the stabs at Lindsay Lohan, Samantha Ronson, Ellen Degeneres and Portia de Rossi are homophobic, I just thought they were a little arrogant. I mean, if Lil Kim said that her pussy was so good that it'd turn a gay man straight, would we really be crying homophobia?
My real problem with this video is that it seems so dated. Eminem has done this celebrity-bashing gimmick at least four times already. After "My Name Is", "The Real Slim Shady", "Without Me" and "Just Lose It", haven't we had enough of this formulaic strategy? In my book, it was old after the second time!
Aside from that, the funniest part of this video is that Em name-drops Jessica Simpson right after she allegedly got dropped from her label and slipped further into irrelevance. Poor girl! And I'm not talking about Jessica. Call me an asshole, but I'm hoping that this single is a flop. Even if Eminem is an "artist", I can't deal with his immature artistry.

Haha, well I thought it was pretty funny.
Must be just you then…
“if Lil Kim said that her pussy was so good that it’d turn a gay man straight, would we really be crying homophobia?”
Hell yes. That would be trivializing and extremely offensive.
I really don’t seeing it as being homophobic especially since they have that guy from America’s Got Talent who plays Britney Spears in the video!
The only offensive part was the gay little dance Eminem does dressed up as Elvis. The Lindsay jibe was right on – seriously, her ex-girlfriend is butt ugly. And he really didn’t say anything bad about Ellen and Portia.
It was an ok video…typical em
I have to admit, I liked it. Thanks for sharing.
