Chris Brown has been charged with two felonies stemming from the altercation with his girlfriend Rihanna. The rumors have been going wild in the last few weeks, but we finally have some solid accounting of what happened between the two. Brown has been charged with felony counts of assault and making criminal threats.
As part of a search warrant, a sworn statement by Los Angeles Police Detective DeShon Andrews was made public with the details of the fight.
The affidavit says Rihanna saw a text message from a former girlfriend of Brown's and the two got into a heated argument that quickly escalated:
"Brown pulled the vehicle over on an unknown street, reached over Robyn F. with his right hand, opened the car door and attempted to force her out. Brown was unable to force Robyn F. out of the vehicle because she was wearing a seat belt. When he could not force her to exit, he took his right hand and shoved her head against the passenger window of the vehicle, causing an approximate one-inch raised circular contusion."
He then continued to punch her with his right hand as he drove, "the assault caused [Rihanna's] mouth to fill with blood and blood to splatter all over her clothing and the interior of the vehicle. Brown looked at Robyn F. and stated, 'I'm going to beat the s–t out of you when we get home! You wait and see!' "
The two continued the struggle and Brown even bit Rihanna numerous times and placed her in a head lock, causing her to lose consciousness. Luckily a neighbor heard the pleas for help and called the police, which takes us back to when we first heard about all this craziness.
It's a sad story, abuse is never something to take lightly, and the fact that Rihanna may be taking Brown back only goes to show that victims of abuse are too often enablers. What do you guys think?
