We casually mentioned Shontelle’s second single “Perfect Nightmare” in our review of her latest album, so it’s about fucking time that we shove it into your eardrums. This track’s definitely a departure from her previous hits “Impossible” and “T-Shirt”, as the Bajan singer treads into thumping dancefloor territory. It’s like the modern version of Donna Summer‘s “Last Dance”… Or at least that’s what it’s trying to be.
In the end, “Perfect Nightmare” winds up sounding just as anonymous as any of Shontelle’s previous releases, but it’s still a pretty solid effort from her camp. Besides, who needs a sense of identity when you have a dude with rock hard abs? Feel free to skip the rest of the song and fast-forward to the 0:55 mark.
