Now that Far East Movement has slipped into second place on the Billboard charts, we should probably acknowledge their existence. The hip-hop foursome represents for the Asian-American community, and their latest single “Like A G6” has been blowing up in the clubs.
When I first heard this track, I’ll admit that I wasn’t a huge fan. With that said, this song’s party-rap vibe is akin to anything by Pitbull or LMFAO. You can’t fully experience it until you’re drunk on six cocktails and slutting it up on the dancefloor. Or maybe that’s just me.

No, I agree, you can’t really get the full effect of the song unless your drunk or high, otherwise its pretty mediocre.
Heard this song for the first time, and it’s actually pretty cool.
I just want to know what they are referring to “Like a G6”? A pontiac G6?
@DS- It’s a private jet made by the Gulfstream Company
Yeah, I think you’d pretty much have to be drunk to appreciate it…another song about drinking and partying and bling. Boring.
Really glad you posted this. From the clip on iTunes, thought I might like it. Nearly bought it the other day, but hearing more than 30 seconds really solidified that is shit. Saved me 99 pence!
YES!I love this song!
Yeah, that’s just you cause this doesn’t sound anything like Pitbull or LMFAO. It’s a good song.
Is this like an entire subgenre or something?
It sounds sorta like this one song, “Alors on Danse” by Stromae, that’s apparently big in Europe? It also has the most hilariously soul-crushing video for a sort of dancey electro song. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VHoT4N43jK8&feature=player_embedded#at=79
Stupid rich asian kids trying to be hood. Go back to the sunset. I heard this song when it was by the black eyed peas.
