When a gay porn studio goes bareback, it isn’t always a guaranteed success. Men of Montreal gave it a shot back in 2013, right around the same time that Next Door Buddies launched a similar initiative with a ridiculous video that, luckily, was overshadowed in condom shaming history by this total piece of crap and that time “Dato Foland” told us in an interview that “no one fantasizes about sex with a condom“.
That said? Tossing the rubbers aside—like Randy Blue just did today—has clearly worked for some studios. Bel Ami gradually moved to a bareback-only model over the past few years, and if anything, it seems like they’ve gained more fans with the transition. Sean Cody took a similarly gradual (albeit, swifter) approach, and while it was met with slightly more controversy from the masturbatory peanut gallery, the studio remains on top of the game (even if they’ve been hit-or-miss in recent months).
In fact, people were far more worried about Sean Cody‘s future when MEN.COM‘s parent company bought the studio from its original owner. They seem to be doing okay (so far) when you take into consideration new models like Kelvin and the scene that preceded it, this very hot flip-fuck between Duncan and one of the site’s most popular personalities, Tanner.
But, eh, I’m sort of a little worried about Randy Blue! Their transition is starting to feel a little more desperate, like when Gay Porn Voldemort made the switch and lost a ton of popular models along the way. So far, it’s been said that Austin Wolf, Kurtis Wolfe and Killian James have all jumped ship, and it’s only a matter of time before we find out who else joined them. Will we ever see Chris Rockway again? Are Justin Owen, Diego Sans and Billy Taylor still on board?
Time will tell the fate of Randy Blue, but for now, let’s just circle-jerk to a video from a studio that “successfully” went bareback with a minimal amount of drama.

Corbin Fisher seems to be ‘doing well’ with their ‘exclusive college-jock type’ models, so I actually think RB would not be much affected by going BB. Um, I’m worried about the future of the site and its content, given that this sudden transition might be a turn-off for fans and clearly led to the departure of some of the site’s hottest, most popular models.
My concerns have literally nothing to do with HIV prevention. I am hopeful that a site on Randy Blue’s level does rigorous testing before filming and wouldn’t put any of their models at risk.
