Bloc Party's leading man Kele Okereke popped out of the closet not so long ago, and now he's prepping to release his debut solo album The Boxer. The music video for his new single "Tenderoni" has been making the rounds, which leads us to ask a really important question. Um, would you hit that?
I've had a crush on Kele for a while now, so you can probably guess my answer. And after seeing his new cover for Attitude magazine, I think I have an even bigger crush on him. "Crush" is obviously my code word for "boner".

While we're at it, here's the video for "Tenderoni":
i slept with him in high school
oh hell … give me a masc, tall smooth chested black man and I’m there every time! Who is this?
1) who is this person?
2) has anyone ever heard of him?
3) why should we care if he comes out?
4)and…..refer to the chely wright posting and your attitude re: her, dewitt.
No way.
at least he wears his pants at his waist where they belong…
Yea, because every black guy sags his pants…. Really dude?
shitkicker needs to revisit green day’s song about…….being an american idiot.
ps and unon9’s comment is UNBELIEVABLY racist.
nah it’s not, it’s stereotyping. A stereotype that has a strong foundation in black culture. Lighten up.
i want his shoes
LOL, will MHD ever have a post about a black guy that doesn’t lead to a racism debate? 😛
BTW, maybe it’s just me, but I found that “edgy and tough” quote next to that picture kind of amusing.
YES, i’ve known about him for awhile now and have always thought he was quite handsome.
Mark Unon9 was being sarcastic ( about BH BULLSHIT comment ) I thought that was made clear by the REALLY DUDE !!! GUESS NOT
hes a hot guy! hell yea i’d sleep with him!
but who the hell is he? hes famous???
The fact that such racially insulting statements have been made just at the mere presence of an unknown performer of color on a magazine cover is disturbing.
Vanity Fair publishes an annual “Emerging New Stars” list of typically white starlets (sometimes blacks -folded over in the inside flap i.e., Monique, Gabby Sidibe) and I don’t ever read such nasty racially charged, stereo type commentaries about THOSE barely known” up and comers.
This post seems to expose more of the same whereas some people can take something as innocuous as a black person on a magazine cover and turn the moment into an ugly revelation of who they themselves truly are as a human being…and its not pretty.
No question, one of my favorite musicians period-the fact that he’s openly gay only sweetens the deal.
he is british, bloc party is awesome. boys, turn off the gaga and listen to something decent.
i would totally hit that 🙂 what a hottie
i’ve seen dozens of non famous attitude cover “stars” over the years.the only criteria they seem to have to fit is to look good in pants! Fame used to be a reward for talent, now its mostly a beauty contest – and beauty is totally subjective. As a gay black man seeing Kele on the cover was a suprise. I actually did a double take. Of course he looks hot, anyone who can’t see that is blind (or just blinkered), more importantly the cover celebratesthe sexuaxlity of a person, not just some piece of eye candy
@blacktar
You truly are stupid. Kele is incredibly talented, and VERY famous. Bloc Party are one of the hugest and most critically acclaimed British bands of the past decade.
I guess you wouldn’t know that though, since I’m sure your taste doesn’t extend outside of Kylie Minogue and Lady GaGa.
