Harry Styles is said to be undergoing a dramatic physical transformation for his latest role in My Policeman. The ‘Golden’ singer will play a gay man who marries a woman in the upcoming film, which will feature The Crown‘s Emma Corrin as his wife.
And according to The Sun, the star is going to great lengths to get into character – by dyeing his curly brown hair blonde. An insider also told the outlet of the high expectations for the film, saying: “With Harry and Emma starring, it’ll be a hit.”
The news follows reports of production recently commencing in London. It also recently emerged that David Dawson will play Harry’s on-screen lover in the film.
Based on the novel by Bethan Roberts and set in Brighton in 1957 when homosexuality was illegal, it follows the decades-spanning love triangle between Harry, Bethan, and David’s characters. The Happy Prince star Rupert Everett will play the older version of David’s character, while Linus Roache will play the older version of Harry’s character, Tom.
Harry – known for hits including “Watermelon Sugar” and “Sign of the Times” – made his film debut in 2017 with Dunkirk.
