Harry Styles fans have a few movies to look forward to in the near future, but perhaps none more than My Policeman. And according to the select few who got to attend an advance screening recently, there’s a great reason beyond plot and aesthetic to be hyped for this one — Harry’s butt.
The film itself is based on a book by Bethan Roberts and follows a closeted policeman named Tom (Styles) living in 1950s Brighton, England. He marries a woman (Emma Corrin) but falls in love with a museum curator (David Dawson) and struggles to keep his secret.

It’s no surprise that fans would be psyched to see Styles — who has long played coy about his own sexuality — take on a challenging and dynamic role like this, even if it does mean having to see the former One Directioner play a cop in the process.
Despite the film being based on an existing book, many details of the adaptation are still under wraps until its premiere later this year. But a Twitter account dedicated to updating fans about the movie spoke with one of the attendees at the San Diego screening, and came back with these choice remarks:

Quite frankly, that’s all anyone should need to know about the film in order to buy up tickets as soon as they go on sale, but the account also offered up rave reviews of Harry and the other actors, and said the film clearly cared about portraying the relationship between the two men in a thoughtful way.
Fortunately, people are capable of multitudes, and can respect the story AND Harry’s butt at the same time!
