In the age of YouTube, anyone can gain their fifteen minutes of fame by dancing around to Britney or singing some lame-ass song in their bedroom. But every now and then, someone comes along with an extra spark of talent, and it's clear they deserve a little more time in the spotlight.
If you're not already acquainted with her, meet Filipina singing sensation Charice Pempengco. She gained international attention for her impressive covers of Whitney Houston, Jennifer Holliday and Celine Dion, and now she'll be releasing her first album of entirely original songs. We've been digging her lead single "Pyramid" with Iyaz, but we're still not sure if it's got enough "oomph" to break the American charts. Should it at least make an appearance on our Weekly Top Ten?
