The last time Star Wars tackled Christmas, Dorothy Zbornak was involved (and her association with the Lucasverse totally explains the outfits from Tattooine that homegirl was sportin’ on Golden Girls). So it’s about time we got another glimpse at how Luke & Co. spend the holiday season. The high point of this clip for me was the Mos Eisley cantina band covering Mariah Carey. Yes, the fact that I know the name of the bar in Episode IV makes me a huge geek. Guilty as charged.

To watch the very funny Star Wars: A Christmas Special, Follow the JUMP:
Not as much of a geek as you thought: Mos Eisley is the name of the spaceport town on Tatooine, not the name of the bar. As far as I know, the cantina doesn’t have a specific name. But still geeky.
Bahaha, Admiral Ackbar at the end totally made this so much better.
This has NOTHING on the actual Star Wars Holiday Special, which included Chewbaka’s family of Mala, Lumpy, and Itchy, as well as Art Carney, Bea Arthur singing, Princess Leia singing….one of the most inexplicable things ever shown on TV.
The Cantina has no name at all…referred to as the Cantina Bar…a local watering hole…n this parody is OK…and the REAL Christmas Special was a fuck up on Lucas’ part…before he relized he had a real cash cow with the Star Wars series that he has milked to death…see … I am a nerd that is also a pervert…lol…
