No, there aren't any Lady Gaga remixes in this week's edition of On The Download. Though that may come as a tragedy for some of you, I imagine the rest of you are letting out a sigh of relief. This week we've decided to focus on free MP3 downloads from artists who aren't quite dominating the pop charts. Why? Because you could use some new sounds in your life!

Isis Salam – Avenue: It's been a long time since we've mentioned Thunderheist, and since then the Canadian duo's lead vocalist has decided to go solo. If you're familiar with Isis, you may know her primarily for her rapping style. It turns out that she's got some other tricks up her sleeve, like this delicious new wave number.

Dirty Projectors – Ascending Melody: If you're a fan of indie music and you haven't downloaded the Dirty Projectors' free digital single, you need to hop on that bandwagon immediately. I've had this song and "Emblem of The World" on repeat for the past couple of days.

OK Go – This Too Shall Pass: Not convinced by our Of the Blue Colour of the Sky review? Perhaps you should listen to this free download, courtesy of the band members. It's nowhere near the best track on the album, so if you like it… you'll love the rest of their songs!

Nicki Minaj – I Love You: This song off the up-and-coming female rapper's Barbie World mixtape bites off of Rihanna's flow harder than Shontelle, but it makes up for it with an awesome sample of Annie Lennox's "No More I Love You's". Even if this isn't her best delivery, this chick is one of the baddest in the game. Where the hell is her debut album?

Nicki Minaj has been hot. Been a fan long before she blew up w/ Young Money! “Your Love” is alright. Luvvin’ the Annie Lennox sample, and I don’t see how she’s biting Riri style at all. The auto-tune I’m not crazy for, but I can totally see myself having sex to this song!
