There’s a common trend when we post anything remotely campy, artistic or related to current events. As you might imagine, they don’t receive as much traffic or comments as our posts about porn and hot guys. And when they do receive comments? At least one of them reads something along the lines of, “What’s the point of this? I come here to see dicks. This is a waste of my time.”
This leaves us in a bit of a conundrum! Should we rule out or limit posts that don’t have anything to do with naked or semi-naked men? If you woke up tomorrow morning and Manhunt Daily featured nothing but porn and sex-related features, would you still follow us? Let us know. It may inform some changes we make (or don’t make) in the near future.

I actually come here only to read about things I don’t normally find elsewhere. Daily seems to find the most random interesting things that I would never find elsewhere concerning gay culture. If I wanted only porn, then I would go find porn, plenty of other places with a wider variety than a gay blog.
agree with wvdude 100%…. every once in a while there one of those “you heard it here first” moments with manhuntdaily, which is pretty cool…. hot guys r great, but the other stuff is even better, when it is good =-)
and the guy above is great too, but he would be amazing if he did not shave his entire body, specially crotch and armpits….
I am sure or at least I am hoping that I am not the only guy on here that can be just as happy seeing a profile without the guys dick or ass in my face. The first pic on here of the guy just sitting on the lounger got my attention more than all his dick pics.

I’m gonna have to agree with wvudude. There are a lot of artists, models and “say whaaaa?” moments on here that I wouldn’t be able to find anywhere else. This is a great hodgepodge of all things gay…news and dicks included.
I personally like that this blog leans toward gay culture rather than just porn. Porn actually gets boring after awhile… gasp! Sorry, don’t mean to offend the porn industry that supports this blog, just sayin’.

I also agree with Wvudude. I can go to thousands of other blogs or sites that feature only porn. I love the mix here. While one post may not appeal to me (while it does to others), the next one does. I say keep it like it is. My two cents (which is now worth nothing in this economy)…

I appreciate the porn and the hot guys. But I also appreciate the news and other stories. I have other sources for queer media, but I like that there’s some mixture. (And I like that guys who might not check out gay news elsewhere trip over it here.)

There are any number of dedicated strictly to pornographic materials. The news and other stories are actually INTERESTING (usually). Please please please keep them! Don’t make me beg.
It would be so easy to dumb this down to the lowest common denominator.. but the reflection on your society which your blog encompasses give the excellent dick and bum parade some grounding. Keep it the way it is please?
While I can’t explain the lower traffic counts, I know I read a lot of the “cultural” type posts but don’t often leave comments because, really, what more is there to say? If it’s funny, people will laugh on their own. I don’t think me adding “LOL” contributes much. As opposed to, say, me contibuting to a discussion of the deliciousness of Riley Price’s ass, for example. That needs to be examined and discussed in great detail!
I -just- found this blog, and I love every nook and cranny and corner of it. Everything, from the porn to the random news bits. Please don’t change. 🙂
I’m STILL pissed that you guys stopped doing music-related topics, so the moment you only make it a porn-only site, yea, you can count me out of your readership.
I personally come for the variety.. I even posted a couple weeks ago about the missing music postings. I may have to agree with Anthony above me. If this become only porn, then I don’t need to follow anymore. I’ll just check the established strictly porn blogs. So bring back the music, I like whoever’s taste it was that was in charge… And KEEP other non porn items in here. It makes me happy 🙂
I like the variety. It’s what keeps me coming back. I actually skip a less percentage of the non-porn posts than the porn posts. (There are a few porn feature series that I don’t care for, but I know there are others who like them.) I miss the music postings.
Hmmm. I’m all for art and current affairs, but the campy stuff tends to get a bit cliched and repetitive. I remember getting sick and tired of hearing about Lady Gaga, America’s Next Top Model, Glee, True Blood and that Top 10 list of god awful music.
I guess it comes down to taste, but as taste-makers a bit more diversity would be nice.
We can see dicks and ass, sucking and fucking on a bazillion free porn sites. I like this blog because it is about guys, life, and random stuff and not just constantly about dick although always with a slightly sexual slant (which I like). I’m not a fan of every column you run here so I just choose to look at and ignore those and find what does interest me. Keep this blog diverse. If the guys here aren’t getting what they want, that is their issue (and some of them, especially the person you quoted, really need to own that and SHUT THE HELL UP about it), let them go elsewhere to find it.
