It Happened On Manhunt: From Dallas To Sydney

We had overlooked today’s submission for It Happened On Manhunt, because it arrived to our inbox shortly after we published a very similar tale. That aside, there’s a big difference between the two. This one evokes imagery of a beefy Texan boy heading down under for a hot Australian… In more ways than one!

Feel inspired to submit your own tale? Send an e-mail to daily@manhunt.net with the subject heading “Best Manhunt Story”. Be sure to include all the juicy details! If we publish what you’ve written, we’ll hook you up with a FREE month of unlimited membership to Manhunt! It’ll only take a few minutes. What do you have to lose?

My story is a definitely another long distance story. I live in Sydney, Australia. The guy I found on Manhunt lived in Dallas, Texas.

I can’t remember why I initially messaged him. He just seemed very nice from his profile and also very cute. Being an Aussie boy, I love the American accent, and especially the Texan accent. So, at the very worst, I thought it would be cool to have a mate from there.

We started emailing and chatting online, and eventually I phoned him. The accent was very, very hot. Although, he said that about me too! He was very intelligent, worked in IT (like myself), and we connected really well on the many phone calls after that.

[EDITOR’S NOTE: We’d get hard merely listening to this phone conversation. If fetishizing southern and Australian accents is a crime, then consider us guilty! Extremely guilty. Once upon a time, one of us had phone sex with a Texan businessman and practically shot on the ceiling. Spoiler alert! It was Dewitt.]

Before he had met me, he had already planned a trip to Sydney with a friend. We arranged to meet up while he was here. I managed to get a hug out of him, and we had a great time, but no sex just yet. He was obviously an old-fashioned type who wanted to take it slow, which was also fine by me.

Two months after he went back home, I couldn’t wait to see him any more. I booked a flight to Dallas—eighteen hours flying time from Sydney— and went to visit him. I could only stay for a week, but it was one of the best weeks of my life. And yes, the sex thing happened that week too!

I had to go back home to Sydney, but over Christmas that year, I had planned a six week trip to London and Europe. The last week I was in London, he flew over to meet me. Again, we had another amazing week together. He was just so nice, someone I felt instantly comfortable with. Plus, he was big, Texan and had THAT accent!

Over the next twelve months, there were many visits from Sydney and Dallas. Somewhere along the way, we talked about him moving to Australia (possibly after discussing how much we were spending on flights). I didn’t actually think he would make the move. In many ways, Australia is very different from the United States. Many things that Americans take for granted don’t exist here.

So twenty-seven months after we first met, he arrived in Sydney. It was the most wonderful two years of my life. He had to go back home to help look after a very sick parent, since he’s an only child. For many reasons, he never came back to Sydney. We amicably decided it was best to go our separate ways, but I still look back on that as the most wonderful period of my life. I learned a lot about so many things, and I wouldn’t swap that for anything.

To this day, I think about my Texan boy with his good looks, gorgeous blue eyes and big Texan physique. I know that, because of him, I am a better person in so many ways. Can’t ask for more than that!
