Aural Only: Eminem & Rihanna

At this current moment of time, Eminem and Rihanna are resting comfortably atop the Top Songs charts on iTunes. The unlikely pair collaborated on the rapper’s latest album Recovery, creating an emotionally charged track entitled “Love The Way You Lie”.

Though the subject matter is heavier than what you’d usually hear on summer radio, rumors have been swirling that the song has been selected as the album’s second single. Are you excited to hear this playing on the radio? And has your opinion changed on Eminem now that he (sort of) supports gay marriage?

  1. Sounds like a great song! I have always loved Eminem, despite his hateful lyrics, because of his complex rhymes that you don’t get from anyone else out there! I love the fact that he seems to be changing little by little. It can be done people!

  2. This was a surprisingly excellent song, and one that I’ll look hearing to more of

  3. That’s about enough of that. Got through :57 seconds of it and had to turn it off. Not partial to people screaming in the place of rapping… Never really been partial to Eminem either…

Hopefully this song will put Rihanna back on top though because that’s where she deserves to be.

  4. I love Eminem and have never been turned off by his lyrics. I like the anger he projects. I’ve never really thought of him as homophobic either. Perhaps some gays are too sensitive?

  5. I love this song and I love that he had Rihanna sing it. The video here has the song lowered slightly in key though (probably for youtube copyright issues).

  6. Am I missing something here? Where the hell is Rihanna? This is a total piece of crap, and I actually like a lot of Eminem’s stuff, but not this time. I don’t even know why they bothered to have a rhythm track on this. It has almost nothing to do with the “recitation,” at least for the first half. I used to tell friends that Eminem was the Bob Dylan of his generation, but maybe I gave him too much credit. I do think Bob Dylan was the first rapper, though!

  7. Wrong track plays!!!

It is not “Love the way you lie”!!!

I don’t know what this piece of crap is but it dosen’t even sound much like Eminem and certainly Rihanna is nowhere on this track.
