Not that kind of action, silly! But now that we've gotten your attention, we'd like to take a brief moment to direct your attention to our dear colleagues at Manhunt Cares. We're asking for your help in taking action against the criminal prosecution of individuals living with HIV. In several cases, these individuals have been charged, jailed or labeled as bio-terrorists. On top of wreaking havoc in their lives, these cases are also spreading misinformation about HIV — scaring people away from testing, treatment and care, and feeding into HIV stigma.
Considering that I'm essentially plagiarizing their post at this point, I'd strongly recommend heading over to Manhunt Cares for more information. Once there, you can get the facts and endorse a letter to the CDC asking them to keep their own promises to address HIV criminalization. It'll only take a few moments of your time, so take a break from jerking off to pictures of Guillermo & Caio Cesar to take a stand!

He was HIV+ and bit someone on purpose….
“Fernandis suffered a bite wound on the lip so severe, police say, it went all the way through the lip.”
He purposely bit the man knowing he was HIV-positive . Now Bio-terrorism is a bit extreme, but endangering another persons health like that with such abandonment bothers me. He definitely need to go to jail.
Nope, sorry. Exposing someone to HIV intentionally either as an act of aggression or neglect (by not telling a partner) ought to be considered assault with a deadly weapon. While the argument that “everyone should assume their partner is positive unless they know otherwise” is true, people use it as a means to shirk their own responsibility as the host of a contagious, potentially fatal disease. We wouldn’t give people leeway for intentionally exposing people to typhoid, I don’t know why people with HIV should be able to expose whoever they want without consequences.
As an HIV+ individual, I have to say I agree with the other guys. If you knowingly expose another to the disease then you should definitely be charged with malicious intent or something. People claim “it’s everyone’s responsibility” but if you know you have the disease then you should do all you can to make sure another doesn’t contract it. I certainly would never wish it upon another.
Thank God we have some real people here speaking real common sense.
What a shame that this photo was used to accompany this article, too. Of all things, to show a scene depicting prison, where the highest rates of HIV infection occur. The people who run this site are morons. But I guess that shouldn’t be a surprise.
