It's pretty clear that the Alabama House of Representatives won't be approving a gay marriage bill any time soon. But guess what? They did approve a resolution that praised Carrie Prejean for "speaking out" against gay marriage during the Miss USA pageant.
The resolution was introduced by Rep. Jay Love of Montgomery, and since then "more than half" of the e-mails and phone-calls he's received have disagreed with his action. If you care to add to those e-mails and phone calls, you can find Love's contact information here.

It is so funny that this “lady’s” comments have caused such a stir. But I guess that is what we should expect from a “competition” that was originally intended as a breeding stock showcase (note that when these “beauty” pageants started, it was a requirement that the woman was single, with no children.) So of course she is going to support traditional marriage- the one where she was viewed as property and expected to pop out as many children as possible. I am not suprised at her comments, just the stir they have created.
