So it seems like you’ve got a pretty rabid fan base…
I think “rabid” might be a little negative for the incredibly active, loving, and (I’ll give you) excitable group of individuals that have come on as my fan base.
If Tumblr is anything to go by a big chunk of your fans are girls. Is that fun for you? Or strange?
If you asked me months ago if a large portion of my fan base would be women, I would have laughed in your face. But I don’t think, in any facets of life, that gender should delegate who or what they can or cannot support, enjoy or fawn over. I think I attract both men and women because my physical appeal spans both a “gay” image as well as a possibly “straight” image.
Whatever the case, I am simply happy that people support me, male or female.
You mentioned in another interview that you really like watching straight porn. Why is that?
I love straight porn because I get the best of both worlds! I am so tired of people asking if I am straight or gay because, clearly I am “gay” in the sense that our culture defines it. You can ask any of the guys I have dated in the past years to confirm, ha. I like sex. Period.
I say I am “open”, because everything attracts me physically. I like dick. I like boobs. I like pussy. I like ass. It is truly the culmination of all parts that interests me—which is why I date men 99.9% of the time, because the addition of all their parts interests me the most. However, once in a very blue moon, I meet a woman who has a very attractive nature, and it just works.
Are you currently single?
Yes. I am married to my work.
You’re a Cocky Boys exclusive. Aside from the perks of getting to work in the same city where you live, what do you like about them as a company?
I like everything. I love my bosses, the boys, the environment and the work. The thing I like the most is that I have a voice and personality within the company. I don’t have experience with other companies in the industry; however, I have heard some horror stories, and I am thankful that Cocky Boys has allowed me to do the things I want to do and avoid things I have no interest in.
Such as?
You have probably read about my passion for my campaign #safesexissexy, and my desire to become an advocate for safe sex and the eroticism of safe sex. The company lets me pursue this, and is a condom using company.
What is #safesexissexy?
I developed an educational program to teach adults how to eroticize the teaching of safe sex–essentially allowing safe sex programs a new venue by which to help future generations. The program incorporates teaching strategies graded for ages 12-17 which will, intentionally, allow safe sex to be viewed as something of appeal rather than simply a requirement.
Your non-porn life seems very active. How do you find time for it all?
Dumbledore gave me the Time-Turner that Hermoine used in… Not really, but I feel my time management skills from my years of owning a dance company have allowed me to really accommodate for everything. The fact that I have a highly obsessive compulsive nature and constantly push myself is definitely a big part of it, too. Four hours of sleep a night does me good, and the reminder that I have the exact same 24 hours in a day as Beyoncé definitely helps too.
Speaking of Beyoncé… Some snarky internet commenters have a lot to say about your hair. This is a funny question, but is your hair something you think about a lot?
Thankfully, I got plenty of knowledge from the late Joan Rivers when she spoke about the waste of time that is reading negative comments online. I can not please everyone and must simply be myself.
The reason I grew my hair out in the first place is because, when I was suffering from cancer years ago, I couldn’t grow any and, therefore, growing it now is a symbol for so much more than the physical appeal. Trust me, short hair is much less of a pain in the ass, and when it is grown long enough to donate to a wig cause for cancer patients, I will probably be cutting it.
Does being in porn make you think about your individual body parts in a different way than, say, go-go dancing?
Being in porn has simply heightened my awareness of my physical form 24/7—I have always been insane in how I take care of my body, but nowadays, it is all about the details.
I read in a different interview that you maybe don’t really love New York, or maybe just New Yorkers. If you had the freedom (or the career opportunity) to live anywhere else, where would it be?
I LOVE New York… But I don’t love everything about it. It’s a love/hate relationship. I have traveled the world dancing and have lived in a few different countries. When the time is right, I will be buying a house about 45 minutes outside of NYC to build my summer stock performance space, and I will have a cottage in Austria, my favorite country in the world.
If any of your fans want to actually meet you in person, what’s your advice?
Please come say hello! I really, truly, appreciate when people enjoy my work, so I want to know! I love when people say they jacked off to me last night! Seriously, nothing feels better than knowing that the thought of me gets some people off!
Are you still dancing around New York?
I just upped my nightly rates in order to pick and choose gigs, so I am not working any regular nightlife gigs in New York–everything from now on will be special events!
I know you recently made your on-screen bottoming debut. As a performer, what are the main differences when you’re bottoming?
I really don’t think there are “performance” differences. Maybe because I come at the work with a genuine physical passion. When I am topping, I am genuinely topping as I do in real life, and when I am bottoming, I do it just as I do in real life. I think the differences are more in the preparation than in the actual performance!
You’re clearly doing something right. Especially since you’re the new #1 on The Ten. Congratulations, by the way!
It makes me feel very excited! I always love hearing my reach is expanding and that people are responding positively.
