David Testo is the former midfielder for Canada’s Montreal Impact soccer team, and he came out in an interview with Radio Canada yesterday. Cheers, David!
“I’m a homosexual. I’m gay. I have no choice. It’s just part of who I am. And it has nothing to do with the talent of a soccer player,” he said. “You can be both an excellent soccer player and be gay.”
It’s good that he dumbed it down for any pinheads who weren’t familiar with that concept. Very charitable. According to Queerty, Testo was named the Montreal Impact’s MVP in 2009 but was let go from the team this year. So their timing sucks. Congrats, David!
