As you may recall from last week's post on America's Next Top Model, I was pretty thrilled about the top two for this cycle. We all knew Nicole would be a frontrunner, so I believe my exact words were, "If Laura makes it to the final two, I will shit fucking rainbows." And then she did.
For once in the history of this show, I really didn't give a damn who won. Nicole deserved to win for her pure talent and awkward charm. Laura deserved to win because she has the best personality on the planet (and an awesome fashionista grandma). Unfortunately, only one of them could win. If you care about this show at all, you probably already know who that was. If you're the kind of guy who likes to pretend you don't care about this show even though you religiously read these posts, click through to find out!

LAURA: If we were judging these girls solely on how good they'd be for a CoverGirl campaign, Laura would have had this in the bag. Alas, the remaining models were judged on their full portfolios, commercial performance and runway walks. Laura turned out decent work in all these areas, but it just couldn't hold up to the competition. So without further ado, America's Next Top Model is…
NICOLE: Given her stellar performance since the beginning, this shouldn't come as a surprise to anybody. They tried to psych us out with editing and additional praise for Laura, but we saw this coming from a billion-trillion miles away. I bet Allison's kind of pissed that they chose this season to go with the awkward, quirky girl. Here are some more shots from the episode…
As much as I wanted Laura to win I knew Nicole had it in the bag as ANTM’s first petite model. But then I started thinking way back, they already DID crown a petite model winner. Eva from cycle 3 was under 5’7. So Nicole’s win was hardly ground-breaking.
Nicole deserved this, flat out, end of story.
Laura is sweet and absolutely gorgeous – but she’s not a model.
Eva was 5’6″, Nicole’s 5’7″. Eva’s done pretty well for herself, so hopefully Nicole will follow in suit.
Both of them will do well. This was the best top 2 ever. I love both of these girls, but Nicole was my favorite from day one and I cannot believe Tyra actually picked the best girl for once.
