Enough is enough! We’ve been holding off on Jennifer Lopez‘s new single “On The Floor”, as we waited for her label to set forth on the big promotional push. The song leaked midway through last month, and it didn’t show up on iTunes until earlier this morning.
There must be some weird industry logic behind this, right? We’re no experts or anything, but it seems ridiculous to delay J. Lo’s best effort since… Well, um, let’s just say it’s better than “Louboutins” and “Fresh Out The Oven”.
Alas, we suspect the video’s premiere isn’t too far off, and it’s pretty inevitable that she’ll be performing this on American Idol. So what do you think? Is it time for Ms. Lopez to hop back into the spotlight? Or should this alleged Kat Deluna rip-off have been left “On The Floor”? As in, the cutting room floor. Take a listen, and then dance your way into the comments section.

It’s very “Stereo Love.”
LOVE it!! I’ve been playing this at the bar since it first leaked.
ehm… sampling the classic Lambada… no thanks. it’s just too iconic and unique.
Nothing special, sounds exactly like everything that’s already played in clubs already.
For me, Awesome !! Go, Disco and J.Lo !!
Love it, I fell it will be a big hit! Go J Lo!!! 🙂
It’s a Sample of The Lambada as well crafted Dance Song. She doesn’t sing much but it keeps her name out there.
I feel like I’ve heard that intro 30 times already. Pitbull has a real knack of making every song he’s on sounding the same.
Huge YAWN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
She is not sampling Lambada, just the original melody created by a folk Bolivian duo who gave permission to J-Lo to use it. Kaoma was sued in the 90s for plagiarism.
I agree, this is Stereo Love for sure.
I loved Stereo Love, so I really like this song.
I just wish Pitbull wasnt on it.
This is terrible. Pitbull’s novelty has worn off. JLO sounds like she could be any nameless house diva. Maybe there’s been no big push because even the label realizes it is crap.
Check the Low Sunday Remix of this song, it doesn’t feature Pitbull. Other than that, the Ralphi Rosario Mix is more suitable for the dancefloor.
Accordions sure have become popular…cough
I can’t stop listening. sooooo hot
this song relies on the lambada melody for good reason – without it, it’s nothing.
