Aural Only: Kris Allen

Whether you’d like to admit it or not, American Idol winner Kris Allen is more famous among Manhunt Daily‘s readership for taking his shirt off than actually making music. Could that all change with his latest single “The Truth”? We’re not going to place any bets! Y’all just want to dip him in honey and lick his nipples.

Even so, you should at least try giving this song a chance. “The Truth” acts as the second single from his self-titled major label debut, and it benefits from a bit of assistance from Train‘s frontman Pat Monahan. But enough with the details! Does this have any chance of becoming this year’s Song of Summer?

  1. I love Kris Allen, so sexy and such an amazing voice! This is one of my favorite songs off the album.

  2. Agree with NICE1, pretty good for radio. Not sure if this will be the song for the summer (I think California Gurls is the de facto winner, yes?).

Meanwhile, the video is nice. Kris is pretty. 😉

  3. I think his feelings are expressed that way because he’s sensitive…I think we will see something in the news about him soon…Just because your married does not mean you dont like men…

  4. I think its much better than the first release, “Live Like Your Dying”, which was such a rip off of Tim McGraw’s song of same name.

This one has a nice pleasant sound, but could have benefited by more of Pat Monahan in it.

Song of Summer? Not so much….

  5. This has always been my favorite song off Kris’s album, and it’s about time they put out a second single. Not sure I like the guest vocal from the “Train” guy…I guess they thought it might help get it played, but I prefer the album version and mix. But I still love this record, love the album, and love Kris. Hope he becomes the big star he deserves to be…way more than freaky Adam Lambert.
