Remember the days when mega-producer Timbaland used to turn out groundbreaking beats? While he may still occasionally be able to channel his glory days, his most recent work seems to only be concerned with one thing–getting you to shake your damn ass. There are a few misses here and there, but "Morning After Dark" isn't one of them.
I absolutely hate that I like this song. Timbaland used to be a trendsetter, and now it seems like he's just tagging himself onto the latest crazes and recycling the same beats. And since when did he decide that singing like a cracked-out clown sounded good? Guest stars SoShy and Nelly Furtado thankfully provide a break from his vocals, but it's nowhere near enough for me to consider this one of his better songs.

Try again Timbo. Might have actually been decent without him screeching in the background.
