Here's the winning entry in the Wildlife Photographer of the Year competition. Seen here is a Himalayan big cat in its natural habitat: the freezing mountains of Northern India. A photographer from New Jersey snapped the picture using a 'camera trap,' a device left out in the wild that captures an image when motion sensors are tripped.
The competition was co-sponsored by the Natural History Museum and BBC Wildlife
Magazine, and it received more than 32,000 entries from 82 countries. View other finalists here.
