First Wall Street got bailed out, then the automotive giants, what's next, the porn industry?
Larry Flynt, the publisher of Hustler, and Joe Francis, the mastermind of Girls
Gone Wild are asking Congress for $5 billion to invigorate what they claim is a flaccid period for the adult entertainment business.
Flynt said, "With all this economic misery and people losing all that money, sex is
the farthest thing from their mind. It's time for congress to
rejuvenate the sexual appetite of America. The only way they can do
this is by supporting the adult industry and doing it quickly."
Some have called this a joke of a proposal, but others say that the porn industry requesting a bailout highlights the unfairly arbitrary nature of the government's decision to help some industries and not others.
