Brett Figliozzi reminds me why I continue to write about music on Manhunt Daily. It’s not just about arguing about famous pop stars, defying the standard gay aural norms, or trying to get into certain artists‘ pants. At the end of the day, my main goal is to introduce you to new sounds, spanning across a variety of genres.
I’m honestly not sure how to classify Figliozzi. If you’ve already clicked the “play” button above—and, if not, you should—it might be immediately apparent that he comes from a musical theater background… Yet there’s almost a bit of a Michael Bublé vibe to him? Basically, his debut single “Burn” is the type of music I wish Cheyenne Jackson would make.
Should you happen to fall in love within the first minute of listening (and I know some of you will), you can grab the song right now from iTunes. You can also keep tabs on what Brett’s up to via Twitter or Facebook, if you’re into that whole “social networking” thing the kids are doing these days.
Stay lovely, folks!
