A resounding “ehhhhhhh,”
erupts from the blogger.

So let’s start this right: XXX-Men was amazing (and I think I still have another part to tell you about) and they put all this thought and effort into casting and costuming and editing this movie and I really don’t have anything bad to say about it. I don’t. I loved it, and it satisfied some deep-seated crossover fantasy stuff for me, and was just A+++ all the way around.

But I haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaate Captain America. I hate him. I don’t like the character just from the get go, and watching Chris Evans play him in what feels like a million movies at this point has been like slowly trying to remove my own toenails with a dull spoon. We get it: you’re from the PASSST. You’re a little SLOWWW. AMERICAAAAA. Yawn.

That said, I loooooooooooooooooooooove Alex Mecum and this is brilliant lead casting (actually, I’m optimistic about all of this casting). So I shall reserve judgement about what Men.com can do with the Captain until I actually see it (but man, Civil War was exhausting).
