It’s no secret that I’ve got a huge music boner for CHVRCHES. From “Recover” to “Now Is Not The Time“, they’ve consistently hit my ears’ sweet spots, and the Scottish electro-pop trio continue their impressive track record with the latest single “Gun”. Yes, indie nerds, I know this one’s been out since late May. However, the physical/digital release won’t be available until this Saturday when their tour with Still Corners kicks off. (Fun fact! I just scored two tickets to Sunday’s Boston show for half the price of regular admission.)
Truth be told, I’m not sure if the single includes much more than the original and the recently-released (sort of boring) Jamie Isaac remix, but I’ll take any new music I can get from these guys. This one’s definitely going onto a few summer barbecue playlists that I’m going to make, knowing damn well that I’ll never get my shit together enough to host a summer barbecue. Oh well! Maybe I can play it at my next orgy.
