Not too long ago, our dear colleagues at Manhunt Cares re-posted an article from CNN entitled “Face it – Monogamy is unnatural“. This got me thinking about open relationships, and as I pondered this concept, my mind began to wonder into polyamorous territory. It started with a questions about whether I could love more than one person at a time. The answer was “yes”. I’ve been there before, on more than one occasion.
In thinking further, I began to ask myself why I’ve never suggested to two (or more) guys that we should all go on a date together. If I like them both, maybe they’d both like one another, right? And maybe, just maybe, we’d all compliment one another so well that we’d find ourselves in a place where we all support one another emotionally, sexually and in other ways that partners tend to do.
This all started to sound quite nice until I thought about the finer details. How would I explain to my friends or, worse, my mother that I have two boyfriends? What if we wanted to take the relationship to the next level and get married? And, most importantly, would I really be able to deal with the societal biases against such a relationship?
I’m really not sure! As such, I’m just going to forget about all this “thinking” and jerk off to Duncan Black in “Brother Husbands“, the MEN.COM parody of Sister Wives. I’m not even going to ask how he got to the point where he’s marrying Andrew Blue without realizing he has three other husbands, because really, nothing else matters here beyond Duncan Black’s torso covered in cum.
Oh yeah! And, also, this discussion.

HOT cast of guys!
I would very much like to be in a poly-relationship. My feeling is that I am capable of having equally intense love for more than one person at a time. Ideally, a male, female male situation where I can get the best of both worlds for my bisexuality. Love is love, it shouldn’t be limited by numbers.
Why not? Everyone around here is clearly in love with themselves, first, so anyone else makes it polyamory (which I’ve been told is the PC term).
Not so much the PC term as the correct term, as polygamy refers to being *married* to multiple people.
Sure, it’s great to think about how awesome it would be to have more than one person to have sex with for the rest of your life, but it’s a lot more than that. What about dealing with three or four or five other people who have annoying habits, get jealous, have money problems and start stupid fights? It’s hard enough to deal with the personality of just one partner. Just bringing it up for discussion….
i could not agree more with you . love the idea but you can end up in a cat fight .
Ah, fair point!
No. I dumped a guy immediately for having only kissed another guy (while drunk), so not feeling like I’d be okay with a poly-amorous relationship
I would expect people who are truly into it would have found out how to deal with jealousy. They might tend to talk their feelings over more openly and try and diffuse the situation.
Open relationships rock. I have a husband whom I love very much and only share LOVE with. We have the freedom to have sex (a purely physical act) with whomever we choose. Neither my partner nor I believe that we can always be all things sexually to the other one and so we have no desire to manipulate or control the other ones sexuality or sexual choices. Monogamy may work well for women and is therefore the template we are given as young men from our mothers but for men, one single solitary sex partner doesn’t work so well. It’s just not in our nature.
Sounds like My Husband and I!
We always ask permission and show the other who it is first and give details of the meet for safety reasons.
Open and honest so it never interferes in our life and love together.
At least if they are Adults anyways!
Rather not say age because that never governs Maturity.
I doubt I could be in love with 2 people at once I am not built that way but I could have a steady sexual relationship with 2 people and keep the lust separate from the love.
Open and honest communication is the key to the whole situation. Good on you guys. Sneaking around behind the other person’s back when you’re supposed to be in a monogamous relationship; that’s a problem.
If I may ask how many years together before this was cool to do?
The furry one with the Brown eyes though is my want to do out of them all if I had to choose only one.
0. We formed our relationship 13 years ago as open. Trying to open a relationship that was formed as closed is a slippery, slippery slope.
We use to only fool around together as a couple when we started off and before we got a place together. Eventually we realized our taste in guys was too different to make this work out well and could never really find a guy that was perfect so went to doing 1on1’s with others with permission only first. This September makes 9 years together and 4 years married.
Congrats on your 13 years!
CT I am with you relationships are hard enough between 2 people without being even more complicated in trying to satisfied needs of a third person . BTW what happens if one person should fall out of love with just one of the 2 people while still madly in love with the other ?
Legit question and no way to say until your in that situation.
But I know I would never leave my husband for someone else even if the sex was better.
All parties involved have to be mature enough to understand sex is sex.
Permission only?! Sounds tricky but as long as it works for you, rock out with your cock out. Clearly it’s working after 9 years. Congrats to you men as well.
Yes. I’d quite appreciate that. To my mind it isn’t about the sex (though clearly that’s a fun bonus) the idea I find appealing about a polyamorous situation is that if you have the right blend of people and personalities it would be a regularly more engaging environment. I’ve always wanted a four person set up. I do accept though that it’s a whole lot of effort and kind of unlikely, but should it occur I’d be thrilled.
I don’t know if I could fall in love with them all, but I will happily fuck everyone in this scene, individually and together.
it looks like a living hell 😉
Dude. What’s more important? Being there for one another or some jealousy over a drunken kiss? I mean, I would have crawled through broken glass and fire for any of the men I have ever loved. So I wouldn’t even think twice for forgiving them, even if it hurt. I think you have to ask yourself, did you ever love them, or was it all about you and your needs?
Blue eyed man with the tats all the way for me 😀
I agree dark hair and light colored eyes makes a great contrast and usually attract me to a guy but in this case the Brown Brown caught my eye first.
So yours would be second choice.
Amen to that.
