Daydream Vacation is a Seattle-based indie supergroup of sorts (if you can categorize two people in one band as a “supergroup”). The pairing brings together Dave Einmo of Head Like A Kite and Asya of Smoosh, the latter of whom is most famous for rocking hipster dance parties back in 2004, when she was only twelve years-old.
Of course, most of you have probably never heard of these bands, so I don’t know why I’m even bothering with this introduction. Let’s keep it simple! Daydream Vacation are a band from Seattle. They make funky, poppy songs that you can dance to.
Now, this is the part where you listen to their songs and dance alone in your underwear.

I love these posts.
I’m glad SOMEBODY does!
They’re so helpful for when I’m telling my friends about all this new music I’ve “found”. It makes me sound like I know what I’m talking about 😀
Funk beats have been coming back lately in mixing and it’s kinda weirding me out. I’m not sure I’m a fan. Of course, I never really liked funk, so that’s just my own personal problem. But this definitely isn’t the worst of it. I know no one asked me, but I think the best of it is probably done on Sabzi’s “Delridge”. Probably because it’s super toned down and only on a few tracks. Oh yeah, and he’s based in Seattle too!
But for the record, I always appreciate your music posts.
I also enjoy this posts profusely.

I enjoy these posts as a whole, and love your taste generally, but good lord is this song ever awful! This truly sounds like a dim pre-teen’s experiment with dance songwriting. And not that it changes matters much, but her voice is terrible and that hipster dude absolutely cannot/should not rap.
It’s cool. Different strokes for different folks. I love the quality of Asya’s vocals, and I’d HARDLY consider that “rapping”.
