  1. It’s like A Chorus Line meets Black Swan…  she’s getting desperate to stay fresh, it’s starting to get pathetic.

  2. I don’t know, I like the video but I like Dewitt and Dewitt’s friend’s commentary better.

  3. Why bother with the intro? Just skip to 8:41 and watch the real music video. Sometimes Gaga can get on my nerves with her artistic vision.

  4. This was a little out of her normal style of being completely out of the box in an awesome on your feet kind of way…..this was just plain out of the box. No offense Gaga, the song was amazing, but the video…….

  5. What I love about Gaga are the messages of love and the uptempo songs she releases.  her messages of acceptance and even drawing attention to issues is applaudable.  What is not is this video and most of her other ones.  In the beginning they were simple and fun with a dark .  Now they are weird, leave me scratching my head and wondering why I couldn’t just enjoy the song without having wasted 14 minutes of my day.

  6. what is with all the prejudice xD from an art students perspective, this music video was beautiful, there was so much raw energy and passion, i personally thought it was great. it gave a pretty interesting insight into someone that i rly dont know a lot about…

  7. bad acid trip meets flashdance, meets lets get physical meets terminator? I don’t get it….wtf

  8. This is nothing more than a monument to Gaga’s enormous ego.  She would have done better to take the hundred million this video probably cost and use it to help the sixteen million homeless and starving “little monsters” in this country that “60 Minutes” documented last Sunday night.  I don’t mind the song, but this video is an extravagant mess.

  9. She isn’t an artist, she isn’t a director, she isn’t talented, she isn’t attractive, she isn’t anything but tired and hopefully dead soon.  She killed dance music, now dance music should slaughter her.  Bye Bye pumpkin. . .

  10. A music video should consist mainly of music to video, no artistic acting beforehand. I’d call this at best a musical clip. 8 of 14 minutes is acting! that’s more than half the video!

    Otherwise, she’s a wonderful artist.

  11. The video is a recap of the worst day of her life. She was dropped from her record company Def Jam after she got out of hospital, she “has an abortion” at the beggining meaning the record label “aborted her dreams” and the rest of the video is how she wont let anything stop her from being a star and at the end she has the words “Interscope Records, Hollywood, CA 4PM” because she was then picked up by her current record label “Interscope Records” xoxo appreciate fine art

  12. that’s so incredibly hateful. You should seriously feel awful. I don’t care if you don’t like anything she does, to actively cut down someone who fights for our rights and promotes such a positive message is just plain rude. Please be respectful. That kind of talk is what almost drove myself to suicide as a teenager.

  13. The video is really for her fans who have been following her. It’s really autobiographical. She wanted to give her fans a re-envisioning of her struggles before her rise to fame. I thought it was a little self-indulgent, but I totally appreciated it because it brings us closer to the human under all the Gaga. This is her most down-to-earth video since “Just Dance.”

  14. Fights for your rights?? Really.  Let’s review.  When DADT was in the news and people were trying to repeal it.  CACA jumped on the band wagon, went to DC, made a speech, then went back on tour collecting your hard earned $.  The repeal didn’t happen.  Did she continue to fight for the cause. NO! Because she doesn’t care about YOU, she cares about your money.  The people who did care, continued to fight to get it repealed and eventually it was, with NO HELP FROM STEPHANI!!  She does not fight for gay rights in any way that is helpful to you, only in ways that will garner her the most publicity.  She is a terrible role model, a talentless artist and if she dropped dead tomorrow I couldn’t stop myself from dancing a jig of glee.  She has never done anything that was in anyway considered “art”.  Look up Leigh Bowery, Isabella Blow, Grace Jones, Madonna . . .it’s all a fading xerox copy of art.  I am amazed at how you could say she “promotes such a positive message” because I see zero evidence of that.  Open your eyes.

  15. Ok we get it though she is wild and crazy and groundbreakin,….but reign it in a little back to the quirky weird stuff that made sense,….not just 14mins of this stuff,….I like Gaga but not where she is going

  16. Lady Gaga is stucked in the 80-ties and early 90-ties with her music, and her lyrics are like those from some cheap self help books…She didint bring anything new to the entertaining bussines except crazy costumes…

  17. I wonder if Gaga is too deep for mainstream gay culture now. I mean I thought the whole point of music gays like, is supposed to be mindless, fun, dancy, so they could go to the club and forget about all the shit, the AIDS, the self hatred, the homophobia, the loss of parental love, the inferiority complex, etc.  I mean in a way she reminds me of an Andy Warhol type. I think what she is doing with music is art, music is her paintbrush. I mean if you don’t like art, then don’t watch her videos, and just listen to “Sexy and I know it” or something similarly easy.(not that it doesnt have artistic value as well)

  18. Amazing Video. Too many haters out there.

I think Madonna said it the best: “When you’re on top, people have a tendency to try and knock you down.”

Gaga is without a doubt on top right now. Haters may hate, but radio and the mass public love her.

  19. Blanche, I agree with your argument, for the most part, but your delivery is all wrong. And wishing death upon someone, or being happy that someone is dead is never a good thing.

  20. My only issue with Gaga is she feels very forced.  She has vocal talent and I could care less about her being over the top, because if not her, it will be someone else.  I just felt when she first came out, everything about her music felt easy and natural.  Now everything she does seems to be forced and contrived.  But for good, bad or worse, she’s doing exactly what she set out to do – and that’s make all of us have a reaction.

  21. Gaga is going the same exact route that Salvador Dali did with his art. She’s taking in as much inspiration and concept as possible to learn and create her own. She’ll be better a few more albums in. I can’t wait.

  22. People are far too simple.
I don’t understand why expectations of music videos are so low generally? What, we all expect JUST music, JUST dancing while lip syncing. Pssssh… How about we appreciate when someone goes the extra mile for their fans. You don’t have to like it, but at least try to understand it.

It’s extremely poignant and offers numerous insights into everyday life and the lives of others. It’s a rare glimse also, into something that is very important to Gaga.

I just don’t understand. If we were expecting a short film, everyone would think it was amazing, but if we were expecting a music video, anything over 5 minutes is overkill??? I admire her for trying to create something different.

The video was the best video off this album.
