While browsing through artist Matthew Stradling's work, I had trouble believing that all of his paintings were by the same person. One moment, you're looking at a fantastical male nude like the one above. Then all the ornamentation is stripped away, leaving a stunningly sparse naked portrait.
If that's not enough to throw you off, you're eventually confronted by a close-up of somebody's anus juxtaposed with a galactic glimpse. I'm not exactly sure what that one means, but I'd like to think that Stradling is saying, "My hole is out of this world."
