What I was trying to get across is that he may not have thought, “hey, ya know what, ima get this ink in the hopes someone thinks it’s funny.” Perhaps it has meaning beyond what you consider. Perhaps not. You and I can debate all we want about his or anyone else’s motives for getting inked, but whatever his reason, it’s not to make you laugh. There’s a difference between something legitimately funny and just laughing AT someone. A sense of humor is a fantastically sensual thing, I totally agree, but the way you write your opinion is to me basically saying, “hey look at that dude that’s different, let’s laugh at him”. I’d rather laugh at a shared joke that guffaw at him. There’s a difference between laugh /with/ and laughing /at/, and it seems to me that laughing at someone is cruel and petty.
I’m not going to go out of my way to be a dick to anybody for being “different” and it’s kind of shitty to imply that I would based off of a one-off comment made in jest in a porn blog comment section.
